Southern Michigan Gun Club is proud to offer a broad range of handgun and action shooting opportunities that are unmatched in Southern Michigan.  We have indoor and outdoor ranges as well as an Action Pit that offers programs for every skill level from beginner to advanced competitive shooter.  

The Action Pit features target racks, steel plate racks, a dueling tree, a Texas Star, steel silhouettes, and other challenging moving and static targets.  Whether you are a new shooter just getting started or an experienced competitor there are programs and challenges for you.

Scheduled activities in the Action Pit include open practices, plate matches, action matches, defensive shooting sessions, and lady’s events.  These activities are primarily spring through fall with an occasional winter shoot for the hardy souls.

The Outdoor Pistol Range (Goff Range) follows the same schedule as the other lower ranges.  There are fixed shooting stations at various distances from 7 to 25 yards. 

The Indoor Range is open during the winter months.  Shooting opportunities at the Indoor Range are posted on the club calendar.

The Handgun SIG also offers you the opportunity to obtain safety training that will allow you to use the Action Pit facilities on your own schedule.
