The Board of Directors has approved the resumption of the Self-Supervised Shooter program at SMGC for members of at least six months.
It’s most important to note that this program is about SAFETY first and will emphasize safe range practices and habits. Better marksmanship through increased practice during approved range hours (10am until 9pm or sunset, whichever is earlier) is the objective.
Training classes are scheduled for the third Saturday of each month. Class time is 9:00 am until around noon. If you’re running late don’t bother to come. Sign up for the next available class as we will not accept tardiness to a safety class. If you want to be there, BE THERE ON TIME.
The application is below for you to complete and reserve your space in the next available class. Seating is limited to 20 people per class. There is no charge for members taking the class.
Classroom training material will be provided but you will need to bring a pen & pencil for note taking and test taking.
Every question on the test will come from the classroom discussion, so coffee and staying alert will also help you breeze through the course.
You will need to bring an unloaded firearm to the class for a fire safety demonstration proof test following the classroom portion.
Successful members will receive a yellow SSS card and lanyard immediately at the class conclusion.
Questions can be directed to the club Safety Officer, Tom McKenna at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This event is fully booked.
